Technical information about this website’s accessibility

Peover Superior & Snelson Parish Council is committed to making its website accessible, in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.

Compliance status

The website has been tested against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standard.

This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 AA standard, due to ‘the non-compliances’ listed below.

  • The 3 blurb modules on the Home Page seen as having two links not one
  • All the images containing ‘Noscript’ elements

Non-accessible content

As far as is understood there is no non-accessible content in this website.

Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations

Accessibility issues which do not fully meet the guidelines are:

  • The 3 blurb modules on the Home Page seen as having two links not one. These could be fixed by changing the structure of this information but is not seemed necessary to fix.
  • All the images contain a ‘Noscript’ element. The <noscript> content will only display if JavaScript is disabled. Most screen reader users have JavaScript enabled, and will thus encounter your accessible script and not the <noscript> content. Therefore there is no fix necessary.

Disproportionate Burden

There are no problems which are a disproportionate burden to fix.

Content that’s not within the scope of the accessibility regulations

PDFs and other documents:

The accessibility regulations do not require us to fix PDFs or other documents published before 23 September 2018 if they’re not essential to providing our services. Any new PDFs or Word documents we publish will meet accessibility standards.
