On Monday 10th February 2014 we had two incidents reported to police, one in Knutsford and one in Wilmslow, whereby calls were received from a male purporting to be a detective from Leeds Police. The purpose of his call was to advise them that a male had been detained by the police who was in possession of their credit card details.When the recipients became suspicious the male advised them to ring 901 and gave them a reference number of 329AC.
Please be aware of this and should you receive such a call, terminate it immediately and report the incident to Action Fraud on 0300 123 2040
