Police are warning Cheshire residents not to fall victim to phone fraudsters claiming to be from a bank or posing as police officers.

Police are warning Cheshire residents not to fall victim to phone fraudsters claiming to be from a bank or posing as police officers.

Cheshire Police is aware of several incidents across the county including Lymm, Knutsford and Warrington relating offenders phoning elderly people and telling them their bank cards have been compromised and need to be cancelled.

Anyone who is a victim of this type of crime should contact Action Fraud on 0300 123 2040.
